@principal_lamb: I think a school’s response to the 10% of students who challenge rules and expectations often makes or breaks a school. Things go sideways when schools don’t get a hold of the behaviors for the 10%. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I’ve led schools that were unsafe because I didn’t have an effective plan in place needed for that 10%. So to all my fellow admin out there, let’s have a plan for the 10%, because the tide will rise or fall based on the school’s response to them. Let me know your thoughts on this. I look forward to reading your comments. #principalsoftiktok #teachersoftiktok #school #students #fyp
My school does a great job handling the 10% and rewarding the 90%. We have a wonderful AP!!!

A group of my “good kids” telling me why does the school only give out rewards to the ones who always misbehave?

I feel the same thing happens with staff. 10% don’t do their jobs and as other staff see them get away with it they stop putting in the effort or leave.

I believe the culture of the school needs to be fair, yet formidable for all to follow, again management must have a united front with teachers… I see teachers siding with students with bad attitudes..

My last principle let student get away with everything. There were absolutely no consequences. He always wanted to be the good guy anytime he had the chance. It was so frustrating

my school is definitely at the 70% range. mostly on attendance and lates, perpetually having to catch students up, is robbing other students of their education
