I don’t think it was targeting, teammate went low, he went high, WR caught the ball, he turned, he is not defenseless anymore and if he was his teammate would have gotten a flag throw too

people do not understand the difference in targeting calls in college versus the NFL. this is textbook targeting in college. if you want the rule changed that's a different conversation.

The catch doesn’t matter for the targeting call 😂 in college the rule is any contact with head or shoulders on a defenseless player is targeting

I truly don’t understand what the DB is supposed to do here 😭 the receiver is hunched over. If he was upright, it wouldn’t be to the head or neck area.

If it is a catch then that means the receiver was considered to make a football move which then means he is not defenseless. this was a catch, a hit, not targeting, and a fumble.

There is literally nothing any defender can do in this situation besides let the WR complete the catch. Absolutely wild things a penalty IN ADDITION to disqualification.

He doesn’t make the hit it’s a catch and 2nd and 3 after every were just 1st and 20. He NEEDS to make the hit and they’re just making it impossible to play
