Inspo: @Shayla #chili #potpie #halloween #fall #Recipe #fyp Ingredients: 1/2 yellow onion 1 tbs. olive oil 2 minced garlic cloves ground beef 15 oz. can stewed tomatoes 15 oz. can tomato sauce 15 oz. can kidney beans 15 oz. can beef broth (gradually pour to see how thin or thick you want your chili) seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder shredded cheddar cheese Jiffy corn muffin mix (1 egg + 1/3 cup milk) Recipe: To a pot over medium-low heat, cook onions with olive oil for 5 minutes. Then add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds Add ground beef and remove grease into a separate bowl once beef is nearly cooked. Discard of grease in the trash once it has cooled and solidified. Add in your salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder to your ground beef Once seasoned, open your can of stewed tomatoes and pour into a blender. Slightly blend to break up thick tomato chunks. Pour in your blended stewed tomatoes, then add your tomato sauce, kidney beans, and beef broth. Bring this to a boil then simmer with a lid over low heat for 10 minutes. Taste test and add more seasonings if need be. Once your chili is done, turn off the heat and start making your corn bread batter. This can be homemade, or with Jiffy corn muffin mix which is easy and delicious! Preheat your oven to 400F Grab a baking sheet and add a sheet of tinfoil Place your oven safe dishes onto the foiled baking sheet, then pour your chili into each dish. Next, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of chili Then, scoop corn muffin mix on top of cheese layer. 3 small scoops into a triangle will bake into the perfect layer! Once that's set, add your chili pot pies into the oven for 10-12 minutes, keep an eye to make sure the corn bread layer isn't burning Finally, remove from the oven, allow to cool and top with sour cream and a jalapeño slice Enjoy!:)
