Coming from big law, it doesn’t make you “real” money. It makes you enough to live comfortably but even as a partner, unless you are a name partner, you are working for someone else

Partner tracks takes Atleast 8 years tho… most take 10-12 to become a partner. No associate is becoming a partner after 5 years at their firm

In big law yr 1 pay off your loans. The 1st 6m the interest isn’t there yet so those 1st 3m of checks should go straight to pay down your loans. Then immediately refi them w/ a company like sofi, so
