I hate when DMs fudge tbh. When you enter combat you accept the risk of your character dying, fudging dice takes the stakes out of the game

As a DM, I always roll in front of the players. That way I can’t be accused of cheating either way and they can adjust their tactics depending how the battle’s going. 🤷🏻♂️

My DM once rolled in a box of doom in front of us for a separate grapple attack from 3 seperate monsters all at once. All 3 die were a Natural 20.
