Annie Le, a 24-year-old doctoral student in pharmacology at Yale University, went missing on September 8, 2009. Surveillance footage showed her entering Yale’s Sterling Hall of Medicine building, where her research lab was located, around 10 a.m. that morning. However, she never left the building, as evidenced by a lack of footage showing her exit. Her disappearance raised concerns, especially as she was supposed to be married just five days later, on September 13. Yale University and law enforcement launched an extensive search, involving multiple agencies, to find Le. After several days of investigation, her b0dy was discovered hidden inside a wall cavity in the building’s basement lab on September 13, the day she was set to be married. An autopsy later revealed that she had been str@ngled to de@th. The investigation quickly focused on Raymond Clark III, a 24-year-old lab technician who worked in the same building and was responsible for cleaning the lab animals and maintaining equipment. Evidence against Clark included DNA traces that matched him on Le’s clothing and under her fingernails, along with his suspicious behavior and reports of previous inappropriate behavior with female colleagues. He was arrested on September 17, 2009, and in 2011, he pleaded guilty to charges of m*rder and attempted s£xual ass@ult.
