I was in school from 2010-2015 for dairy and cattle farming. We used to talk, in class about how quickly the turn happened in 2014 in the packer plant prices per hanging lb of purchased cattle weigh.

while this may be true 30 to 40 yrs ago when I was farming McDonald's had their own supply chains buying beef and feed lots and likely their own processing.
