Being expected to answer work related calls and texts during non working hours is considered being on-call and they have to pay you for that.

In australia they actually introduced something to combat this, employees aren’t required to respond to non-emergency emails or texts outside of their working hours and the employer can get in trouble

Sadly, Greg, I'm studying marine science, & I'm spending lots of time underwater. So, I will not be using my phone those times. Also we are required to turn our phones OFF in class, or we fail.😎😎😎
