It will vary here neighborhood to neighborhood and state to state. My mother had a ranch in Texas, you passed the gate and drove deep through the front pastures to her homestead which has fenced in.

The hydrants depending on color puts out a different psi of water (this is across the entire us). Blue 1,500+ green 1,000-1,500 orange 500-999 Red 500 and less!

If your house catches on fire how do they fight it without hydrants? Yes a firetruck carries some water, but usually not enough for a big fire.

Jase, that road is not that steep. It's basically flat in comparison to the roads where I live (the white mountains in New Hampshire). Our roads are more like roller-coasters 😂

We do have hydrants all over the UK. Ours are generally underground though with a cover above to access them
