Alrighty, let me be completely honest with you… I’ve received more troll messages in the last 2 months than I ever have on my journey thus far I was asked the other day on a podcast interview how I navigate all the troll messages and my response is “it’s been tough.” It’s easy to say “hurt people hurt people” or “they’re just jealous” but when you’re in the thick of it… let’s just call it how it is… it sucks If you go look at my reels you’ll see that many of the comments are still on the posts but I’ve also blocked and deleted many What I’ve been learning when it comes to trolls is that… •to protect your energy sometimes you need to block and delete — on average I block 50 accounts a day. Protecting your energy as a business owner is so key because that energy doesn’t just effect you, it also effects how you show up for your customers and clients •knowing your WHY is extremely important. And I’m not talking the basic “I’m an entrepreneur because I want to have time freedom.” I’m talking about the deep deep deep WHY, the kind that keeps you planted when times get tough. The kind that keeps you dedicated when you don’t feel like doing anything. The kind that gets you going in the morning. It’s more than just “making an impact”, it’s more than just “making money”. Spend the time getting DEEP •sometimes you just need a good cry •if you’re going to respond (you most definitely don’t need to), catch them with kindness. I’ve been responding to several troll messages with “thank you!!” lately and I can only imagine the look on their face when they see my kind response to their nasty message •& lastly, you should lean on your community— I posted on my stories the other day about the trolls, just having an honest conversation, and my community swooped in and backed me up with many of the troll comments and honestly it was so powerful and had me crying joyful tears all day (you know who you are, thank you🫶🏻). Your people are there to support you even if it seems like all there is is hate, your community is grateful for you! I’ll leave you with this— if you’re in the thick of it right now, I’m sending you love and I hope you know that you’re not alone❤️ #adviceforbusinessowners
