I grew up poor. I realized this when I was became a scientist. Then I switched to engineering and it just reconfirmed it. Hell you will find a lot of subpar people at the top.

I’ve been in a dozen different career fields. A very small percent are ran by elite/brilliant individuals. Many are in a high position because they had family or a friend in higher places, not merit.
