Had this happen to me at a job once and I called the DM, after my manager left. The DM noted the problem and a few months later $$ was missing again & the manager & front end worker were both fired.

Never sign off on something that you know is incorrect. If anyone tells you to, tell them to sign off on it. If they aren’t willing to, immediately report it to upper management/HR.
