I think you're analysis about the state of the market is a little off. Offshoring is a bigger problem than job automation right now. Juniors are getting replaced with cheaper foreign engineers

It’s so important to realize that CS is NOT just programming and that you don’t have to work in FAANG. I just started CS a year and a half ago and I’m still in school. Interned locally which led me to a network admin position at another company. Making connections is key and a lot of CS majors don’t seem to have the communication skills for that

I think people are overestimating AI… in the end, it will always be a tool for programmers… it won’t take their jobs. Everyone thought Excel would take the jobs of financial analysts and bank tellers
