Fuunsaiki from Mobile Fighter G Gundam also just do a % system. 25 50 or 100% based on size of weapon. I say size of weapon for anti-gundum infantry weapons.

my players know, that most quests can lead to campaign, the quest is kinda the introduction to the campaign... so they pick up a bunch and the one they like most will spin into a campaign

Personally, the way I would have shown off Char would be the classic "There is a fast moving heat signature. It's moving at 3 times the normal speed" 😂 Still, love this idea. May or may not steal it.

possible concept for the paladin. check power rangers mystic knights. The one of the character has a horse that magically uplifts to word size and merges with his word making a centaur zord.
