From a welders stand point the harbor freight engine hoist is way stronger the top brace is solid steel and the mount for the top arm is way stronger

I had one years ago the legs would extend as well as the boom. She whole lift would assemble with no bolts. Really portable. It would lift a 7.3 powerstroke with no problems. Lost it in hurricane katr

I’ve got my father’s old orange Pittsburgh 2ton cherry picker that’s 25+ years old and pulled hundreds of engines.. Never had an issue with it.
