My child has been coughing for literally 3 weeks her cough is bad if she’s laying down and morning time it is worse. Doctors said it’s a virus and the cough just won’t go away

Yeah, but when you end up taking them to the ER for symptoms like that, they don’t even do x-rays. They just send you home and say it say virus.🙄

I had pneumonia last year straight up the most sick ive ever been literally felt like i was going to die i could barely breathe and my entire body was hurting and aching now eversince anytime i get a cold or a cough it feels like theres needles in my left lung

I have been coughing for over 2 months. I got a zpack, antibiotics and an inhaler and I'm still not better. Grandbabies have been coughing about a month. Antibiotics and cough meds aren't helping

Antibiotics only work on Bacterial infections, not viral. So antibiotics are not the answer. For viral infections you have to treat the symptoms and can require hospitalization.

I was infected with cervical tuberculosis lymphadenitis/Scrofula when I was a child. This was back in 2003 and the treatment protocol is different now. My pediatrician at the time just had the growth on my neck removed and i was left with a massive scar on my neck. Now they do antibiotics for a while and stuff, and I never had that. I have had respiratory illness my whole life, covid almost killed me at 21. Doctors don’t know what Scrofula is in my area and refuse to investigate chronic illness from it and mycobacteria infection. Can you talk about it maybe?

ive been caughing over a year and they keep tryina tell me its alergies.... i just keep getting the run around after 4 dif docs.. ent, family doc, pulminologist and 24 hour walk in smh.

My kiddo has had ZERO fever. Only thing she had is a wet cough for 2 weeks. Ped dismissed us twice and finally today they diagnosed walking pneumonia. I’m bummed my mom gutted has known.

My son has mycoplasma pneumonia (viral panel confirmed) and the ER dr said this isn’t always showing up on the x ray like typical pneumonia.

My daughter is 3 months old we're on day 7 of an awful cough and wheezing. I've been sent home from urgent care, ER & Ped. all on diff days, I know something is wrong. I'm not being listened to.
