if u can't do it with a carpet janser knife then u can't fit carpet ! me n my mate was doing this 15 year with kneepad kicker knife bolster seam iron n tractor everyjob done by manual handling

You would never lay a carpet before painting the skirtings and walls, you always work top to bottom, paint ceiling do walls skirting then carpet last

You do clean work but I get anxiety knowing that the stretch isn’t as tight as it could be. Try backing off your sticks a little bit from the baseboards. Easier to tuck easier to catch pins on kick

Can i ask.. i had my carpet fitted recently had to leave my sofas in whilst doing it and now theres had lumps with in the carpet here & there. Is this due to not stretching properly?
