I thought the same as her but it’s just because of the shape of the letters. Boba has more rounded letters and Kiki has quite sharp letters lol

It’s phonemic. The sound and the shape of the mouth resemble rounded and sharper sounds, so there is an association with more rounded and sharper shapes. There is a reason - not random.
