We read those stories like they’re folklore…
A Ṣaḥābī has his leg amputated during Salah — and doesn’t feel a thing.
Another takes arrow after arrow — but refuses to break his prayer.
A boulder flies past a third — and he doesn’t even flinch.
We read them like legends.
Like echoes from a mythical past.
But what if I told you… it’s not?
This isn’t fantasy.
It’s real.
It’s been lived —
By companions, by scholars, by worshippers… even by people like you and me.
And it’s something you can learn.
But here’s the problem:
Most people assume khushūʿ — presence in prayer — is something you just switch on.
You either have it or you don’t.
But how many of us have ever sat with a teacher to learn it?
Allah ﷻ says:
فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

(Qur’an 21:7) Notice… He didn’t just say scholars. He said the people of dhikr — people who live it. Who embody it. And here’s my confession: I used to think this level of presence was unattainable. I was the one others came to for answers. I had the Shariah degree. I knew the rulings of Salah — but not the reality of it. Until I met teachers who didn’t just teach presence… They trained it. And that changed everything. We prayed together. When the imam finished, he asked: "How long do you think that was?" "Ten minutes?" "Maybe fifteen?" He smiled. "It was forty-five." And not one person felt it pass. Later that evening — twenty rakʿāt of Tarāwīḥ. An hour and a half. And a friend who used to hate prayer turned to me and whispered: "I’ve never enjoyed a prayer more." This isn’t myth. It’s a door. And it’s waiting for you to walk through. This practice can be taught. And that’s what we’re here to help with.
