Busara was the last - and youngest - member to join our so-called 'Voi Kids': orphan elephants rescued during the Tsavo drought in 2022, who skipped the Nursery stage and went direct to the Voi Reintegration Unit. Busara was emaciated and weak on arrival. Immediately placed on drips, the Keepers worked around the clock to bring her back from the brink.
