@pocketbreathcoach: Vagus Nerve Reset - 1 Minute Breathing Exercise Practice breathing exercises anytime with my app Pocket Breath Coach (link in bio) Breathing exercises can activate the vagus nerve, which helps calm the body and reduce stress. Slow, deep breaths trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate and promoting relaxation. This effect can be measured through Heart Rate Variability (HRV). When the vagus nerve is stimulated, HRV increases. For busy people, this simple breathing pattern offers a quick way to relax and feel more balanced. Most deep breathing exercise can stimulate the vagus nerve, but I came across 2 studies where the 4-4-6-2 pattern produced measurable vagus nerve stimulation. - inhale 4 seconds - hold 4 seconds - exhale 6 seconds - hold 2 seconds Try it out and let me know what you think! The way this goes right out the window when you're in a full blown panic attack. Kinda like no one remembers to stop, drop and roll....🤦♀️

How come I can breathe in all the way, but when it comes to the breathing out, I’ve fully breathed out way before the ball gets to the bottom, even when I slow my exhale right down. If that makes sense
