An engagement ring isn’t a gift given out of the generosity of someone’s heart. It is given contingent on the both of you marrying. If you split, the ring is returned. Such nonsense to dispute that!

Yes I would give it back I give my ex husband the ring back and we was getting a divorce my mom told me not to so I was going to give it to her one of he’s daughter and my ex mom in-law take the rings

Depends on the state. In some states, an engagement ring is a condition gift. If the wedding does not happen, the ring should be returned.

I really didn’t want to give mine back… but, I did. It wasn’t mine to keep. 3 mo later he gave it back, said it was mine and nobody else should have it #king energy. It sits in a safety box so sad
