A lot of people will debate whether a meatball should be fried, baked or just cooked in the sauce. While we enjoy them any and every way we do love them fried. Full recipe below; Ingredients: 1/2 pecorino Romano; finely grated 2-3 cloves garlic; minced 1/4 fresh parsley; minced 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 eggs 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs Olive oil 1.5-2 lbs. ground beef (80/20) you can also do half ground veal and beef Bring ground beef to room temperature. In a large mixing bowl, add beef, eggs, pecorino Romano, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Combine all with your hands gently (folding ingredients together) - it’s the easiest way! Cover baking sheet in foil. Start rolling your meatballs, about the size of an ice cream scoop, with your hands. Roll into a nice ball, but not too compact. Loosely rolled. Line up rolled meatballs on baking sheet. Coat large frying pan with olive oil. Set heat to medium and make sure oil is hot before you start frying your meatballs. Add meatballs gently to pan and cook each meatball on all sides until outside is browned. Before cooking all your meatballs, try your first one to make sure the inside is cooked, but juicy. Then you will know how long to cook each meatball. Once done, use a slotted spoon or spatula, and remove meatball from oil and place on a plate covered with paper towels, so the oil can drain. Serve with tomato sauce, your favorite pasta, or on their own with no sauce! Can’t go wrong. #meatballs #italianfood #sauce
