@pbsnews: President-elect Donald Trump has selected former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe to be director of the Central Intelligence Agency. “I look forward to John being the first person ever to serve in both of our nation’s highest Intelligence positions,” Trump said in a statement late Tuesday. “He will be a fearless fighter for the constitutional rights of all Americans while ensuring the highest levels of national security, and PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.” Ratcliffe served as director of national intelligence from 2020 to 2021, during Trump’s first administration. Before his confirmation by the Senate, he represented Texas in the U.S. House from 2015 to 2020.
