When I was in my post-doc internship, I met an amazing provider 💕 let’s call her Dr. Chris. She noticed that I was always on the move and gently said something that stuck with me forever: ✨ “Sometimes we don’t want to sit still because we don’t want to sit in our thoughts.” ✨ Back then, I didn’t fully get it. I was too busy 👉🏽 9–5 job, 5–9 private practice, teaching at three colleges 😳 all while serving everyone else’s problems and completely avoiding my own. 🥹 I used to think staying busy made me productive. But really, it made me distracted. I filled every white space on my calendar so I didn’t have to face what I was feeling. And then, like my friend said one day, “Sometimes you just have to schedule your cry.”🥹 Whew. That hit different. Because the truth is… 🩷 People saw me as accomplished. 🩷 The internet saw my wins. 🩷 But nobody saw when the “strong friend” needed to be seen too. 💗 So here’s my gentle reminder ‼️ filling your calendar isn’t the same as filling your cup. Sometimes your soul just wants you to slow down, breathe, and be seen 😉 not for what you do, but for who you are. And that’s exactly why I created the InHer Collective, a community for women entrepreneurs and service providers who: ⭐️ Want a safe space to rest and reset ⭐️ Desire real connection and reflection ⭐️ Are ready to pour from overflow, not exhaustion 💗 This month’s theme is Rest, Reset, Reflect, and Recharge, and we’re in the middle of a fun Self-Care Challenge. If you’ve ever felt unseen while holding everyone else together, this is your sign. 💬Comment INHER below and I’ll send you the link to join our beautiful community or head to my profile. 💗 You deserve a circle that sees you.
