Ramen is a type of Wheat Noodle thin round and wavy. Momofuku noodles are also wheat but are flat ribbons. Think spaghetti vs fettuccine similar but different.

it doesnt say ramen on the package because it is not ramen. Ramen is specifically a noodle soup, most of the cheap maruchan isnt even ramen because they are not wheat noodles
