@cnn: Australia has introduced a bill to ban under 16’s from using social media, in an effort to protect them from harmful content. Introduced by Communications Minister Michelle Rowland, the legislation includes fines of up to 50 million Australian dollars ($32.5 million) for tech companies that do not take “reasonable steps to prevent age-restricted users having accounts.” The bill will next be debated in the Senate. #cnn #news #australia
