so easy & one of the new faves!!! recipe below🤍 Smoked Sausage & Rice Skillet Ingredients: 1 cup basmati rice (rinsed) 1–2 smoked sausage links (sliced) 1 red bell pepper (chopped) 1 green bell pepper (chopped) 2 cups chicken stock A handful of cilantro 1 tbsp oil or butter Salt & pepper to taste Optional: garlic, onion, or spices like paprika, cayenne, or thyme if you have them Instructions: Sauté the sausage & veggies: Heat a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add a little oil or butter. Add sliced sausage and sauté until browned (about 3–4 minutes). Add chopped bell peppers and cook for another 3–5 minutes until slightly softened. Add rice: Stir in the rinsed basmati rice and cook for 1–2 minutes, letting it absorb some flavor. Add stock & simmer: Pour in the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes (or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed). Add greens/herbs: In the last few minutes of cooking, stir in your chopped greens or herbs. Let them wilt and blend into the dish.
