they can try to make ai happen in the mainstream but the truth is: putting reddit at the end of the search always gets you the answers you need from people who have had an experience 1:1 with yours

Meh, that’s just the AI hype that died in like the 90s or whenever. The real impact is going to be pattern recognition in scientific data sets. My focus is on custom protein design and AI is an invaluable tool for narrowing down that crazy huge search space down to something physically realistic for testing.
