a year ago I went to Taiwan for a year and everyone was looking at me or me and my friends, and even if you looked into their eyes they wouldn't budge and just stare at you, but like not politely that they would look and then mind their own business, no, they would stare at you until the end of the ride or they couldn't see you anymore, it was uncomfortable most of the time

I’m pretty sure the reason that they’re looking at you is because on Chinese trains they don’t really talk much because it’s respectful to keep the volume down and to be quiet for those who have had days at work because they prefer the trains to be quiet so where you guys are talkingthey look at you because you’re talking and also because you’re foreign

This is what I felt like on the London Underground even though I’m from the middle of England idk if it was just my social anxiety tho I blended in like everyone else but I just felt like I was obviously not from London 😭
