@enphemeral: Like a lot of engenes I really looked forward to this years’ MAMA awards. Enhypen got first place in worldwide fans’ choice, which is a really good accomplishment compared to their ranking last year. I am really proud of engenes who voted and most of all ENHYPEN who put their health at risk the entire year to try and show us the best version of themselves. I am disappointed in us loosing the VISA fans choice. The rules were initially that MAMA was going to count the worldwide fans choice ranking along with the VISA votes. This is why most engenes were really confident that Enhypen was going to win. Somehow, Mnet changed the way the votes were counted without the worldwide fans choice ranking and JIMIN was the one who ended up winning. I am saddened as are many engenes, I already knew that the company behind Mnet had something against enha knowing that they didn’t even nominate them in any categories apart from WWFC last year despite them having one of the biggest title track of 2023 (bite me). But I hoped with the voting that we could get them their daesang. I know engenes are disappointed, enha are too (even if they don’t say it), but let’s comeback even bigger next year for them. Also, you can criticize MAMA all you want, go off. But don’t take this as a green light to engage in fan wars or criticize the winner. After all if anything is unjust in this whole thing, it is MAMA’s fault not the other winners. Enhypen have already proved themselves, they sold out Kyocera dome (where MAMA takes place) countless times, they are the future of K-pop and we won’t let a single gold trophy define them. They don’t need to prove themselves to MAMA. We know that we could not see the results for the VISA voting. The problem is that MAMA stated that they would count the 2nd round of worldwide fan’s choice in the VISA fans choice. Enhypen was leading that category for 15 days which is why Enhypen stood a good chance.
