I always wonder why would they use plastic for such a critical component, yes I know metal is more expensive but cars are expensive already so cost shouldn't be an issue when building cars, just sayin

The outside one cracked on my 5.3 suburban and I thought I was blew it up. 15 dollar fix thankfully. I changed both because I could tell it was brittle plastic.

Man I went a winter without heater because my hose was leaking... that was not fun at all. please fix them now before it gets cold!!!

you've got the hose off you may as well swap the T fitting as well, you're correct in doing so
