I'd be surprised I'd they did this because a continued protagonist would have been smarter with the Inquisitor since most people seemed happy with their Inq and it made sense for Inq to go after Solas

I wish they had done this with the Inquisitor. I adored my Inky and I wish we could have continued with them. I saw the Jack daw video and I don't think Rook will be back, but I'd like them to.

I hated ME1. This game gives me lots of ME1 vibes in terms of how flat the characters are. I remember hopping into ME1 after DA and until I got to 2 I was so bored (I know I’m sorry ME moots 😭).

I fell in love with my Rook. I wanted free roam post main story just to be able to hang out with the Veilguard and have extra conversations referencing the finale. It gives me more closure for me

As much as I love the dragon age "always someone new" approach. If da5 is our final one I'd love to revisit a protagonist for it. I wouldn't mind having one carry over personally!

It honestly would fit the trend I noticed that veilguard definitely was very reminiscent of mass effect, especially ME2 in mechanics, pacing, overall stakes and direction, etc

rook is my fav DA protagonist, however considering one of the endings is him joining solas in the veil (bad ending) i doubt they'll AGAIN ignore a possible ending and choose to use him again

Does anyone else feel underwhelmed by the dialogue wheel? It gives the illusion of choice but Rook's personality stays the same (quippy + unserious) no matter what. You can't have an aggro Rook.

As soft series relaunch, it would make sense and I honestly wouldn’t be mad about it. With the exception of Hawke & the Fade, the other DA protagonists all have pretty clear cut endings when it comes to their place in Thedas history. Rook kinda does but more room is left open both with the character & companions to add more going forward.
