As a mom I literally have no idea how to rough play, honestly I hate it, but I’m so so lucky my husband and other fathers like you do this with this kids. They need this so badly 🥹🤍

From an occupational therapy stand point rough housing provides necessary input to the proprioceptive system! (Think feeling calm and grounded). It builds confidence, body awareness and helps with emotional regulation too! You’re doing such important work even outside of just making them feel seen and loved 🥰

My husband doesn’t hurt our children the way he was hurt as a child but he sure does get rowdy with them and it’s a blessing to see it happening for others. 🙏🏻
