I often hear musicians put off committing to an opportunity that will help them because they “don’t feel ready” or “when the time is right” Neither of those statements are valid as you will never feel 100% ready, it’s an excuse you’re telling yourself out of fear. That is not a growth mindset. Pro tip: spend more time doing, and less time over thinking, and then watch the growth happen. Only think twice about the 1% of permanent decisions that you truly, can never go back on (ie having kids, getting tattoos) make. the. moves. do. the. damn. thing.
