just wanna come back here and say that i’ve been doing this + standing marches + around the world for about a month (3-4x/week) and not only did this give me stronger core, slightly defined abs & flatter stomach (bcs well, it’s only been a month), i now have pilates arms & shoulder without doing any pilates and working my arms

Just for anyone who needs it: abs are in a huge part genetic. They’re your breathing muscles, so everyone has them, but their visibility depends on so many factors such as where you hold weight etc
