What I often see as an amateur competitor is that the dances contain very little actual dance syllabus.Or content and they become very free, stylish.And contemporary ish.

I would prefer watching them keep to more traditional ballroom. I would love to see them focus on actual technique as well as creativity.

This and traditional music for each of the dance styles!! Sometimes it works but most times the music and the style are so at odds the peformance feels off

First 5 eps should be focused on styles. Even have theme nights based on the style if you must. Then when half of the cast has gone home, start doing more theme nights to show their creativity.

strictly only has movie week, halloween week and musical week (this year it had more because it was a 20th year) and i much prefer having select theme weeks

I love the traditional styles but one I really would love to see is more the disco era. That wld bring so much fun, great music & lifts wouldn’t be penalized 😏
