I don’t understand why people ask why are you talking to him? Because in this situations, it’s super uncomfortable and sometimes completely ignoring someone like that actually makes it worse, and they become more aggressive and violent so sometimes just trying to keep small conversation and politely encourage them to leave you alone is the best option.
