But not everyone has good intentions. Yesterday, someone contacted me, upset because we don’t have an address listed on GoFundMe. I explained that our shelter is in a field with no exact address and that I use an Irish bank account because I lived in Ireland before returning to Moldova. But he ignored my explanations, refused a video call to verify everything, and instead chose to report our GoFundMe, calling it a scam. I have always been as transparent as possible, sharing every receipt to show exactly where your donations go. I’m hopeful GoFundMe support will listen to our side. If they don’t, it could mean the end of our shelter. Over 190 dogs in our care may go hungry because of one person’s actions, which would be a heartbreaking outcome.
