I use ‘MyFitnessPal’ it takes the calories I burn allowing me to eat more. Should I ignore this ? And just genuinely stick to the 1600 cals ?

I have an underactive thyroid and struggle to lose weight, also disabled so can’t exercise loads but calorie deficit works despite this.

but can't you metabolism change depending on lifestyle? so I sit a lot for my job, I eat about 16-1700 calories so in a deficit but I don't lose weight?

you also have to consider hormones as you get older it's a lot harder, genetics & after having a kid! I'm in consistent cal def + strength train 4x a week, I'm not huge but the fat isn't fffing off 😏

Genuine question, how common is metabolic damage? It’s thrown around a lot, that crash diets can decrease metabolism meaning when you return to previous maintenance you end up gaining weight.

Been following your advice since July and I’m down almost 50lbs. Basically eat less, move more. I was 282lbs and I’m currently at 235. Aiming for 180 (I’m 5’10 so will still be fat, but whatever, lol)
