As a child free by choice person I think a mother giving up her child for a good life is so selfless and heartbreaking. And to your adoptive parents, well done on raising such a lovely guy ❤️

I think it’s wonderful that you ended up with wonderful parents who filled that hole for you. That is not everyone’s experience.

I wish my mum was still alive to see this. She was forced to adopt her son out in 1963 by the Anglican Church when she was 16. She never forgot him & always loved him. She had the same fears as you do

I grew up not knowing my dad (mum had a 1 night stand), I did Ancestry DNA and found him, he didn't know I existed & nearly 2 years ago I met my dad for the first time.

The way that this hit me. I'm turning 28 soon. I was adopted. I have met my birth parents. I have met my siblings. When I did see them, I felt like an imposter. Seeing them have a close relationship.

I’m adopted, too. I can’t describe the feeling, but it feels as if something is missing. My story is a little different. I found and corresponded with my birth mother when I was in my 20s.

I’m adopted. My birth mom was also a Julie lol maybe we are siblings. I don’t have any regret/shame about being adopted. I never think of her. My parents are my parents. She is just a stranger.
