You know why?.. you can always do a 2nd set… and you wanna know another reason why?.. you’re probably already doing 2-3 sets ANYWAY… so like cmon. Let’s be realistic.. yall aren’t doing 2-3 rep sets and walking away.. - If you know there’s no significant difference between 0-2 RIR, why would you make it a big deal about only getting 3 reps? I would be more concerned with doing 12+ reps than 3. - Playing with heavier loads, you don’t at all have to worry about failure as much as people playing with lighter loads upwards 10-12+. You’re already playing with high-threshold motor units. You’re not wasting away half a set doing nothing like higher rep sets. - This shouldn’t be complicated and I shouldn’t have to make this deep. Just drop the load and move one. The 2nd set will make up perfectly fine. Or.. hear me out.. orrrr… Just don’t do 2-3 rep sets. Who cares. But yall gotta stop acting like I’m teaching “2-3 reps is best for hypertrophy”.. I’ve literally never said that. 3 rep sets with 1-2 RiR are in fact great tho… and I’ve found that to help my strength progression a lot.. and guess what more strength means.. #gym #bodybuilding #fyp #fypシ #GymTok #Fitness

What I’m understanding from this is becuase of the negligible difference from 2 rir to 0 rir a set of 4 at 2rir would effectively be equivalent to a set of 6 at o rir and in some cases if a (1)

Is there a negative to going below the region of 3-5 reps? If I were to do a set with 1/2 reps with identical execution to a lighter 4-6 rep set am I still getting the same benefit with reduced fatigu
