@dejashu: ad My 20 hour* Indian sleeper train experience 🇮🇳 (*this was originally an 18 hour journey that was delayed by 2 hours). Travelling from New Delhi to Jaisalmer on an overnight train. I’ll be making a future video about things to know and travel tips before going on one but have included a few below! Ngl, this was something I was incredibly excited to do. I love trains. I love the idea of overnight trains. Though the thought of an 18 hour journey was daunting, this actually flew by?! It was helped by an early start so we all managed to catch sunrise and slept the majority of it. I’m on a 12 day Women’s Expedition tour around Rajasthan with @Intrepid Travel so all of our transport (including trains and tuktuks) are organised for us! TRAIN CLASSES: - Our group was booked on both 2AC and 3AC - air-conditioned with either 2 or 3 berths. The trains are open-plan so there isn’t much privacy (but our compartment had a curtain!) • You pop your (locked) luggage underneath the lower bunk and your personal items and valuables by your head as you sleep! • There are options to buy food on the train but our guide advised against this and we ended up pre-ordering lunch and dinner with restaurants she recommended instead. Shrishti our guide then picked it up when the trains stop at specific stations! We arrived and then got on a tuktuk (my first ever one!) before checking into our hotel for our visit to Jaisalmer. I’ll take you around there tomorrow! ♥️ #OnlyIntrepid #india #sleepertrain #travel #indiatravel #indiatraveldiaries #indiantrain #traintravel #newdelhi #jaisalmer #jaisalmerdiaries #indianfood #incredibleindia #intrepidtravel #sleepertrainindia #firsttimeinindia #indiasleepertrain #overnighttrain #grouptravel #femalesolotraveler #femaletravel #womenwhotravel
