I think people in comments are missing the nuance of undiagnosed ADHD as a child plus acting out due to ACE experiences leading to substance misuse and adrenaline seeking behaviour.

Lack of funding in early years, education for kids with SEN and support for all teens and young adults in the community is imo the biggest issue we have today

It’s a tough one. I understand the issue… but adhd or not, it’s irrelevant when it comes to crimes. We all know right from wrong. If we choose wrong that’s on us. Very few exceptions.

how many are actually not guilty and the adhd made them mess up their court case? That's the big question I see no-one asking

No medication = hence the offending. Don’t really agree. It’s down to how you are raised and class / wealth. My dad brother and myself all adhd / audhd. None medicated. None have committed crimes 🤔

I have ADHD and I've never been in prison. It's a choice to break the law. I choose not to. They choose to do so.

Mediation is not always the answer and it also demands on your ACEs and what you are exposed to family dynamics internal and external factors any other comorbidities company you keep so on 😞
