Avoid knife blocks. You get a bad version of each essential knife. Just buy a good chefs knife, paring knife and bread knife separately.

wait for sales on all clad. i got an allclad d3 stainless skillet for like $99 . also as a baker I reccomend skipping the kitchenaid tilthead and get the pro bowl lift kind. lasts way longer!
