I had this happen once when I was on a plane. Seconds before we were going to touch down we went right back up, circled the landed. They said it was to do with the wind 🤷🏻♀️

so that's why I'm scared to go on planes finally. any little gust of wind that can potentially sway the plane from a safe landing.

I’ve been on a flight that did this bc of the harsh winds. We shot straight up. It’s scary but the pilot was amazing and tried again in like 10 mins

That happened to me 12/9 as we were landing in Turkey from LAX. The plane was the biggest airbus too. We shot straight back up, circled for 30 mins and landed safely!!🙏

To my humble opinion I believe the aviation industry and airport planners need to increase the runway sizes or create special runways for occasions like this kudos to all the captains out there ❤️
