This NEW stylish bistro in Kingswood is already a local favourite - and it’s only just opened! 🤩 Esca has just opened at Monks Way Retail Park, bringing a stylish interior, friendly vibe, and seriously good food. It’s run by Shorni and her mum Katrina; they’ve owned a few cafes around Hull over the years, and when this one came up for sale, they knew it was the perfect spot. After kicking off with an indulgent ultimate hot chocolate, a refreshing iced matcha, a classic cup of tea, and a creamy vanilla milkshake finished with a swirl of caramel syrup, we dug into the food! The name Esca comes from the Latin for flavoursome food – and that’s exactly what you’ll get here. We tried the smashed avo on sourdough with feta and sun-dried tomatoes, and it was amazing, some of the best I’ve ever tried! The full Esca breakfast with black pudding and sourdough toast was hearty too, and the breakfast wrap with their signature Esca sauce was really good, with a slight kick from the sauce that made it really satisfying. They also serve smash burgers, toasted ciabattas, paninis, salads and jackets - and almost everything’s under a tenner. Would you try something we had, or something else? Let us know in the comments! There are big plans ahead too: live music and steak nights on weekends, Sunday lunch sharing boards, and kids eat free offers in the school holidays! You can find Esca at Monk's Way Retail Park in Kingswood, so give it a try, let us know what you think, and if you like what you see, give the vid a share to support this local business! #hull #independentcafe #localcafe
