I feel like I almost don’t notice it when it’s black because I’m looking at the Windows’s the white just seems out of place because the stairs and post are not white.

White makes it look like it’s supposed to be there and black just in all will be weird it may match the railing but it’s not a railing it’s a post so it just won’t look right

The black makes it industrial chic but the white makes it coastal which is what you’re going for so I’d say white!

I fully agree with your decision. IMO, the white post is more pleasing to the eye and just seems like a natural extension of the loft area.

I still like the black. Your eyes don’t “see” the black because it blends with all the other vertical black lines.

I think the black looks WAY better. The black blends in and looks like it belongs but the white sticks out like a sore thumb.

Black!!!!! The white connecting to the upper landing makes it still look like a wall which is what you wanted to avoid!

They both look good, but the black lets your eye go seamlessly to the windows. The white stops that flow. Just my opinion

It’s weird the white actually draws my attention to the post. The black blends better to me because it just looks like it a part of the metal posts. Team black

i think white makes it blend into the walls. black makes it become part of the railing. personally, I like the white to break up some of the black it that area

I still say black. It flows with the large black frames of the doors behind it and the staircase. White seems to “show” more rather than blend
