When you think about it the uss Missouri being mored in front of the USS Arizona symbolises the beginning of the war in the pacific and the end of the war

We went there a few years ago and it was sad because the bridge was closed due to structural problems. I really would have loved to be on there to look down on the Arizona. It was so eerie

Just went today, was a surreal experience. Didn’t take pictures of the actual memorial though, just took it all in. Great to see this being spread though, this was a brutal part of our history.

My great grandfather was in the pacific during WWII in the Navy. He drove the men to shore with a Higgins boat. He didn’t talk about the war much until the last few years of his life.
