Tough conversations are like mosquito bites, you never itch the top because it will start to bleed. 🩸. You itch the surrounding areas. I have had this conversation a million times. We just don’t agree, but what we can agree on, is our humanity. mentioning qualities that makes us human can create a bond and with that new relationship (bond) you can start building up to a conversation. Your enemies must feel that you are just as human as they are! then the illusion of separateness will fall. I play it very safe now when I talk to the opposite side on this. You will never convince me that what is happening there is okay. It’s not. But you can convince me of your loving heart ❤️ that’s a good place where we can start the healing. #debate #toughconversations
